Mother's Day Boutique

Being a mother has changed a lot about the things I want to create.
I still love making clothes and am working on a few new designs, but I have also discovered interest in other creations.

In April I will be joining several other ladies at a Mother's Day Boutique in Pecan Creek.

The Marion by Natalie table will be selling Nursing Covers,

matching burp rags,

and Aprons.

I love this stripe fabric. It makes me think of lemonade!

I recently picked up an embroidery book on sale at Joann's and can't wait to include embroidery in my apron designs.

I am very excited about the boutique and can't wait to finish making all of my pieces.

If you are interested in any of these things for yourself or for a gift for a friend and you don't live in Queen Creek, send me an email and let me know what you are interested in.

I am looking forward to getting back to my sewing now that pregnancy is no longer eating up my creativity.

Can't Rest

Sometimes I come up with ideas for skirts and I can't rest until I have made them.

Apparently that was the case today.
My mind woke up at 3 this morning with an idea in my head for my very favorite yellow print fabric and I could not go back to sleep until it was finished....

Later on this morning as I was substituting a dance class and somewhere in between Plies and Tendus I thought of another skirt idea.

As soon as I had taken a little nap I rushed to Joann's, {worst idea ever. Note to self: only visit Joanns in the morning on weekdays...Saturdays are off limits.} purchased the fabric I had envisioned in my mind, and rushed back home while creating the skirt a million different times in my head.

Today was a two skirt day. Tiring and productive. My brain hurts and I need some rest.

{Each of these skirts will be available in the shop soon. details to come.}

The Freedom Girl Tee

Marion in Review

Connie over at About Him and Her did a nice little review of Marion by Natalie.

I few months ago Connie asked me to make her the St. Patricks day skirt that I had made for myself.

It was my first project for someone else and I enjoyed it a lot.
Typically when I start a project I do not really know where it is going or what it will end up looking like.
This was nice because I was familiar with every single step and it cut the sewing time in half.

Thank you Connie for all the support!
